Dr Sébastien NICOLAS is a practising dentist with a degree in dental surgery (Marseille, 1998) and a CECSMO diploma (Marseille, 2003), attesting to his specialisation in dentofacial orthopaedics. He is actively involved in the development and transmission of knowledge in orthodontics, through a constant commitment to research, training and scientific communication.
He has held several positions within learned societies (SFOL, SFODF, Collège Européen d'Orthodontie), was scientific chairman of the 2015 SFODF congress, and is co-founder of the Academy of Orthodontics. He is also a Damon-certified instructor.
The author of numerous publications in national and international journals, he is a regular speaker at major congresses (SFODF, FFO, ADF, WSLO, ESLO, etc.) and runs university and private training courses in France and abroad, particularly on lingual orthodontics, multidisciplinary treatments, bone anchorage and the management of complex cases in adults.
His recent work focuses on mandibular posterior anchorage and integrating the notion of prejudice into orthodontic treatment.
